In recent years, Lauryn Hill has become known for arriving late (or not showing up at all) to her performances. The reputation stretches overseas.
Hill was scheduled to co-headline day two of the Playground Festival in Glasgow, Scotland. The crowd became restless as she was running late. Although she reportedly apologized to the crowd and explained she was celebrating her son Zion’s birthday, the festivalgoers still booed her. Hill had to perform a truncated set because of her tardiness.
This prompted fans to take to social media where they condemned Hill for her lack of professionalism.
