Lauren London pays tribute to the man she loved.
In her new “Forever Stronger” campaign video for Puma released on Tuesday, the 35-year-old actress honors her late boyfriend Nipsey Hussle, who was killed on March 31 in front of her Marathon clothing store in Los Angeles. The couple had dated since 2013 until their tragic death, and they share their 3-year-old son Kross.
The powerful video shows London walking around the city’s Crenshaw neighborhood, where he grew up the rapper, while reciting a poem by his sister Samantha Smith.
“Pain is light, pain is perception. The body hurts but the spirit grows. The flesh is starving while wisdom overflows, ”she says. “I have a question that only the Lord knows: Does life give birth to us twice?”
“Lauren London is proud to join forces with PUMA to support her in this next chapter of her trip,” reads the description of the YouTube video. “This piece was a creative vision that Lauren wanted to bring to life to signify the continuation of her marathon with PUMA. Forever stronger.
Hussle had served as ambassador of the athletic etiquette before his death. In September, a collaboration was launched between Puma and the musician’s TMC brand.
