While fans’ excitement at seeing Kanye West and JAY-Z’s seemingly friendly public reunion at Diddy’s recent birthday get-together was understandably palpable, a new report from the usual suspects over at TMZ asserts that the moment is actually not as out-of-the-blue as would be assumed.

Per the report, both artist have moved beyond all aspects of their supposed legal feud, which reportedly included claims from West that he was owed $3.5 million in connection with a Tidal agreement. West and JAY reportedly reached a behind-the-scenes agreement earlier this year, resulting in recent West-related Tidal streams, with more planned for the future.

The report further alleges that West and JAY have actually bumped into each other on multiple previous occasions this year, with the Diddy birthday throwdown merely the most public of those encounters. Tragically, West’s recent claims of only being interested in Christianity-promoting music nowadays still means that the likelihood of a Watch the Throne sequel remains virtually nonexistent.

Instead, West fans can possibly next catch West out on the road with a wealthy televangelist by the name of Joel Osteen.

JAY, meanwhile, recently made his discography available on Spotify again. The catalog reinstatement marked a fan-approved way of celebrating JAY’s 50th birthday and came after the temporary removal of the majority of his albums from the streaming platform.
